The first image is just that an image to view or print. Scroll down for the excel file that has attached grocery list and you can edit.

Still tweaking a bit but posting for those that asked. You should be able to download a copy in excel and edit to suit your family's favorite meals. The second sheet has an ingredient list and although setting it up may take a bit of time.... once you do it you can save and quickly update next month without having to enter everything in again! You can then print the recipe list each month prior to your grocery trip.... This is my first month doing it this way.... And really I have already shopped for my January meals for the most part.... I will tweak the list as I go, adding or reformatting if needed. I am in the process of posting my recipes to this blog too for reference....

I shop the bulk of my items by month.... Meats, canned goods, dry goods, cleaning products, etc. In between I grab produce, milk, and bread as needed. We also have spaghetti of some sort every Tuesday.... Sometimes it's spaghetti and meatballs, sometimes meat Sauce... sometimes with salad, and different breads. Wednesdays we eat at church. And most weekends I don't "cook", per se, but we eat up the leftovers from the days prior, or if there are none it's Soup/sandwich or pull something from my freezer stash. Many Sundays we will eat out as well....

My goal for 2017 is to do this each month and then in future Years it won't require much to adjust for new dates! I am also starting something new in my little family assigning a cooking night to the kids.... They were excited about this and wanted to work in pairs. So my boys are teaming up and my daughter is pairing up with daddy! Hopefully this will help them all be more proficient in the kitchen, give me a break once a week from the cooking part at least!.... and perhaps they will gain a new appreciation for all my efforts! I have printed the monthly page for the fridge and also keeping a copy in a binder that I am keeping as reference! I am also highlighting the kids cooking night!

Anyway I hope this may provide some inspiration to you! Feel free to copy and use/amend to suit your family, etc. My kids won't be cooking at your house though LOL!
4 TBS Orange Marmalade
4 TBS Soy Sauce
2 TBS White Vinegar
2 Oranges or clementines
splash of orange juice

Prepare Meatballs and cook: In a large bowl, combine the ground beef with the garlic, 2 teaspoons soy sauce, bread crumbs, and a large pinch of salt and pepper. Thoroughly combine and form into golf-ball-sized meatballs. Heat a large drizzle of oil in a large pan over medium-high heat. Add the meatballs to the pan. Cook, rotating to brown all sides, for 5-7 minutes, or until cooked to desired doneness. (can also cook in oven) Remove from the pan and set aside.

Make the glaze: Wipe out any burned bits from the pan. Returning it to medium-high heat, add the vinegar, orange jam, remaining soy sauce, and a splash of orange juice. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a simmer. Return the meatballs to the pan. Reduce until the sauce is thick and syrupy. Roll the meatballs to coat them in the glaze.

JUNIPER BERRY is one of my favorite oils!

My oldest has had night terrors
since he was about 18 months old. at first they were very infrequent.
When he was school age they came more often.... somewhere around 7 or 8
yrs old he began having them more frequently and I tried to learn
anything I could to stop them from occurring. Routine, schedule,
sleeping enough, eating and drinking properly, etc etc. If we stuck to
routine we could mostly keep them away but if he stayed up at a friend's house too late I was doomed! His night terrors
would come exactly 1 hour and 20 minutes into his sleep pattern. He
would scream in terror, someone was trying to kill him, or me, it was
always frightening to go thru and there was little I could do to console
him. Some nights they would occur another hour and 20 minutes later... it was exhausting to say the least....
As he got older and bigger they were scarier because it was much harder
for me to contain him. He fell off the top of his bunk bed during one
episode.... I could go on & on.

After I got into essential oils and heard Juniper berry could prevent night terrors
from occurring I was skeptical but intrigued. After all this was my
sleep that was getting messed with too! I did more research and was
willing to try it so I ordered it and waited for the opportune time to
try this oil. After a spend the night with his friends... when he of
course stays up too late, gets up too early and is overly stimulated!
We applied a drop diluted with fractionated coconut oil to the bottom of
his big toes and swiped across the forehead for good measure. NO NIGHT
TERROR!! Time and again when his routine is off or a lack of sleep we
turn to juniper berry... He is now 13 and will ask for it or just go to
my box and ask me which one is for night terrors? It has been over a year since we first got juniper berry and I will never run out... Life
changer!
Now there are also several other uses for juniper berry.
It is a very detoxifying oil, great for kidney and bladder support.
It is a diuretic and will flush your system. I use this oil often with
my condition that I have and in times of retention. Very cleansing and
purifying.
If you have any questions about essential oils, health concerns, or would like to learn more about some amazing specials please Contact Me

When the pollen hit, it hit me hard! Everything was covered in a dusting of yellow and I felt it in my sinuses, head, eyes, etc. I was miserable! I knew I had read about an allergy blend of essential oils, so I began searching for recipes and mixed up a roller bottle of lemon, lavender, and peppermint. I had also read that if congestion was involved to add lime or melaleuca... I chose lime because it smells nicer :)
<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">I began rolling that blend on the bridge of my nose and cheek bones hoping for relief before bed one night. It helped some but I still woke up miserable. That morning I was desperate and trying to figure what I did wrong! I then read to apply to the reflexology points on the foot! The little toes!!! As I stood in my kitchen wondering how I would get through the day I rolled the blend on each foot (little toes specifically)... before I was done applying to my second foot my sinuses CLEARED!!! I was amazed! I told my husband he HAD to try it! He was already in boots to head out the door for work and refused to take them off lol... so I rolled it on the back of his neck. He had relief until about lunchtime... The next day he was rolling it on his feet (specifically the little toes) before he put his boots on... This is what got him to be an oil believer!

<span style="font-family: "georgia" , "times new roman" , serif;">The first few days I reapplied at the hint of congestion. After about 3 days I only needed it in the mornings and was good for the day! YAY!

Allergy Blend Recipe
5 drops lemon
5 drops lavender
5 drops peppermint
*** if congestion is involved***
add either 5 drops lime or 5 drops melaleuca
fill the rest of a 10ml roller bottle with fractionated coconut oil

Lavender was the very first oil I bought. I was VERY skeptical and at a point when I had been dealing with the pain of Interstitial Cystitis for over a year. I was frustrated, worn down, not sleeping through the night due to my bladder pain. I was miserable and Doctors had very little to offer me. I felt like a Guinna pig and at that point had been put under 4 times in the past year. I was on a mission to heal my bladder. INCURABLE is what they said.... live with it the rest of my life?? I felt like this was not something I could even bring myself to believe. I HAD to keep hope! I was determined. I read as much as I could from others with IC. I read countless testimonials from others that had healed using natural herbal supplements, lifestyle changes, Essential oils, etc. I will write more in depth when I get more time. But decided to start here with my story in hopes of helping others that might be facing the pain and frustration of Interstitial Cystitis (IC for short).

It was my birthday. I was turning 38.

I was about a month out from my last procedure. My urologist insisted on doing another cystoscope to rule out cancer. You see I had several episodes of passing fleshy bloody pieces from my bladder. My urologist vowed to help me. When she saw my bladder she was shocked and said it was the worst she had ever seen. She was affraid to perform the hydrodistention in fear of rupturing my bladder. So it was not done. Instead she took biopsies... one to rule out cancer and two to identify if I had an abundance of mast cells (which I did, consistent with interstitial cystitis)

Back to my birthday where I was desperately trying to enjoy some amount of normalcy with my husband and kids. I was following the strict IC diet to the T with little to no relief. That day before heading to town for my birthday dinner I decided I was going to bite the bullet and get some more herbal supplements and try an essential oil... WHY NOT I thought... if I wasted my money oh well, it was my birthday present to myself and perhaps something would help me! I had to TRY!

So I bought a small bottle of lavendar oil at my local health store. The price of $15 for this itty bitty bottle killed me but I just did it. Went to my car and immediately applied the lavender to my abdomen/bladder area... I was AMAZED within minutes I felt relief of my bladder spasming. My urgency calmed. Dare I say I felt almost normal for a couple of hours! That was the moment that changed everything. My skeptical ways were gone. I was sold! My husband I think thought I had lost my mind! LOL.

I believe I have healed my bladder thru many, many things which I will try to write about more when I get time. but these are them briefly

Diet (for me caffeine was my main trigger)
Pelvic PT (I did about 4 months including biofeedback, dry needles, deep tissue massage, ultrasound, TENS machine)
Balancing Hormones (I was Estrogen Dominant, low progestrone)
Herbal supplements included Marshmallow Root, Fish Oil, magnesium, Vitamin D, quercetin, bromelain.
Excersize/Yoga
Relaxation Techniques/Deep Breathing (lavender is great for this too)
Eliminating Stressful situations and coping better with things I could not control
Bladder instills with DMSO (6 rounds)
Bladder instills with Elmiron (I only did 2 and felt like I was in remission so did not continue)
Getting of Pain Meds and Toxins
and last but not least Essential Oils!

If you would like more info please let me know. I am now in remission about a year and have resumed eating a normal diet. I don't take any supplements regularly anymore either. Reintroduced coffee as well! I now diffuse Essential oils daily in my home which I love for their effect on my mind and body. I use lavender at the twinge of any pain. I have found that if I get stressed my bladder will spasm and my urgency will come. This stops once I apply the lavendar though!
It was one of our first purchases when we got married and bought our first house. We ADORED this chair... we vowed to never get rid of it (we did pay a fortune at the time for it!) Well The chair has been thru moves, 3 kids, cats claws, and well LIFE! It is the most comfortable chair ever though... and it RECLINES without looking like a gawdy recliner! Over the years we have purchased expensive Leather Conditioners and cleaners... They smell horribly toxic and do a less than par job if you know what I mean! We were even on the verge of getting rid of the beloved chair simply because it looked so dry and beat up. No longer the glory of the living room it has been moved to our bedroom looking sad.

Well I have been learning about Essential oils the past 6 months or so. And after using them personally with huge success for some health issues I bit the bullet and got a started kit with doTERRA so I could get them at wholesale. My kit just came in last week and anxious to use them I did some research and found a recipe for a leather cleaner.... Would this help sell my husband on my "witch Dr hobby"? lol.... Read on!

He was using the smelly toxic stuff we had left from the last time it was cleaned.... He was fristrated at how little it was doing. I went to the kitchen and whipped up a small batch of cleaner

1/4 Cup Olive Oil

1/2 Cup Vinegar

5 drops Wild Orange Essential Oil or Lemon Essential Oil

That's it! I added it to an empty clean spray bottle that I had on hand and my husband tested it on a small spot... He was amazed immediately and excited began doing the whole chair. Just spray and wipe in a circular motion. It replenished the dry, sad leather in an instant!

I didn't think to get a"before" picture until he was half was through, but you can see the difference on the ottoman and the chair that my husband was working on. If you would like to order or have any questions about Essential oils I would love to help you! I know I was very overwhelmed with the idea of how to use essential oils in the beginning. One of the easiest ways to get started with them is to get an intro set which is about $20 and includes Lavendar, Lemon, and Peppermint Oils. These 3 oils are used for sooooo many things from help with Sleep, healing/soothing cuts and scrapes, headaches, cleaning, etc.

I am having a giveaway for a FREE bottle of doTERRA Wild Orange Essential Oil! One winner will be selected at Random February 3rd, 2015, simply leave a comment on this post to be entered. Winner will be contacted once the drawing ends so please make sure your profile has a way to connect to you!
This was the BIG summer project! The plan when moving my son to his own room (which happened to be the bonus room) was to eliminate the need for a dresser. Partly due to space and low ceilings. After much planning we decided on the Fillman storage Bed that Ana-White had posted. It was for a twin size bed. I calculated and measured and came up with a queen size based on those plans. I will update with my cut list and sizes if anyone is interested. For now here are the pictures! I did add 2 wooden knobs to each drawer (stained to match) Need to get an updated picture!

This recipe came with my waffle maker and is awesome just as is. Now sometimes I like to add blueberries, or diced apples and cinnamon or a dash of vanilla. But 95% of the time I use this basic recipe.

2 Cups flour
2 TBS sugar
1 TBS Baking powder
1 tsp salt
1 3/4 Cups milk
1/3 cup vegetable oil
2 eggs

First mix dry ingredients in a large bowl, then add milk, oil, and eggs and whisk until just blended. For my waffle maker I use 1/3 cup measuring cup to pour into each waffle square and it is perfect.

These are WAY better than any frozen store bought waffles, without any preservatives and so easy to whip up a batch.

If you want to stock your freezer you can make a few batches at once. To flash freeze lay them flat on a cookie sheet lined with wax paper. Stick in the freezer until hardened. (about an hour or 2) then transfer to a gallon size freezer bag. I think I can fit 8 in each... maybe a few more. I do also reuse my freezer bags if no meat was in them

Chicken (1-2 lbs)
1/3 cup Honey
1/2 cup ketchup
1/2 cup Soy sauce
2 TBS minced garlic (or 2 cloves), garlic powder works in a pinch too!

Put all ingredients in the crock pot on low 6 hours. You can use any type of chicken with or without bones. We prefer boneless skinless breasts. Great served over rice or egg noodles. This makes a great sauce. I like to thicken the sauce before serving. Mix 2 TBS cornstarch or flour with 1 TBS cold water... then whisk into sauce on low heat... add more or less to desired sauce consistency. My kids LOVE this!

Here is our weeks worth of meals. Lunch is usually leftovers (if there are any), pasta, wraps, or sandwiches. I usually try to bake a sweet of some sort towards the beginning of the week to include in the kids lunch boxes and for snack time. And forgive me for the reverse order of breakfast and dinner... this is copied from my app that I do my meal planning in and I am too lazy to reverse it! Promise we do eat breakfast first though!
